A Chennai policeman keeps working a file his own station closed. An old swami on the bank of the Ganga teaches that nothing a person holds ever belonged to them. Whatever went wrong in that flat is covered by no law, and it was running long before Divya drew breath.
I write thrillers set in the places most Western writers drive past — the Andaman Islands, the back streets of Chennai, the wiring under a rising Asia.
Engineers, policemen, con men and ordinary families who find out how the system actually runs, usually a few hours too late. The research is real. The people are not. Most of the time.
